5/6/2013 - AVT's Patent Found Valid and Enforceable Upon Reexamination
CORONA, CALIF., MAY 6, 2013 - AVT, Inc., a technology leader in developing automated retailing systems, customized kiosks and micro-stores, announced that they received Notice of Intent to Issue Reexamination Certificate for AVT's core wireless vending control patent, U.S. Patent Number 8,191,779, which was put under reexamination in Fall 2012. The Notice indicates a number of claims were found patentable. Company officials expressed their satisfaction that the patent office validated the novelty of AVT's technology.

3/22/2013 - King leaving Yokohama for TWI
CORONA, Calif. (March 22, 2013) — After spending nearly 25 years in various executive positions for Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC), Dan King, senior vice president of sales and marketing, is leaving the tire maker to join West Coast wholesaler Tire's Warehouse Inc. (TWI)
He will join Corona-based TWI April 8, three days after his last day at YTC, for the newly created post of president. Mr. King told Tire Business he was given a "tremendous opportunity" to join "one of the most dominant" distributors in California, with the goal of helping take it to a higher level.
