AVT Inc. Coins Vernacular in Vending Industry

8/10/2011
Years ago it was only a figment of people’s imaginations to be able to walk up to machines and have them distribute virtually anything you wanted when you wanted it. AVT Incorporated (AVT)is a publicly owned innovative developer, manufacturer, and vending operator of technology-based product dispensing solutions and equipment vending and manufacturing company with sales and service has been able to make what once was only a mere thought, reality. AVT has been publicly distributing their state of the art vending machines for approximately 10 years. AVT provides their customers with custom vending machines dispensing products like cell phones, iPods, and much more. It gives the customer the power to design a vending machine for an array of products as well as provide advertising. WalMart is a recipient of AVT vending machines and they carry things such as perfume, DVDs and CDs. Quicksilver is also another client taking advantage of AVT’s technology. The company has veered away from the simple machines that many people think of. They have coined a new term within their industry; AVT is in the "Automated Retailing Industry," which for AVT, is a fast growing and dynamic industry, indeed.

They have vending machines located in hotels stocked with bathing suits and other beachwear for those who possibly forgot their bathing suit while on vacation. AVT was originally established as a small company in Irvine, CA but is now located in the heart of Southern California, Corona, CA. They continue to design the vending machines and software technology and manufacture the units in Corona but because of demand AVT is looking overseas to help meet demand. They are then sent back to California where they are distributed. “We’ve moved our warehouse from a 25,000 square foot space to a 50,000 foot space.

“We can now do everything inside one space, we build highly specialized machines in there,” says Natalie Russell, President of AVT Inc. Talk about a lot of space for a big corporation! The company does far more than produce vending machines to the general public. AVT impacts the schools around the area; when AVT’s basic snack and drink vending machines have goods that are close to being expired but are still good to eat, they donate the snacks to local schools and organizations in the near proximity of the warehouse. “We also sponsor a lot of the schools,” states Russell, “we sponsor many organizations from the local football programs to the girls’ soccer teams.  We like helping out.”  With their flashy 16 inch futuristic touch screens, AVT’s vending machines have been making a difference for many. Although the machines are extremely state of the art right now, we can only guess what will become of this skyrocketing corporation in the near future!
