Despite a tough economy, Corona has added more than 1,300 jobs in the past six months through relocations and expansions involving nearly 1 million square feet of office and industrial space, city economic development officials report.

Zumiez  is a mall-based, specialty apparel store founded by Tom Campion in 1978, and publicly traded since 2005. Zumiez currently caters to teenagers and young adults offering gear and clothing for the skater, snowboarder, and surfer market.  Zumiez sells action-sports related clothing and has created an image based around action sports like skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross. Zumiez is based in Everett, Washington with their distribution hub in Corona, CA. There are currently more than 389 Zumiez stores in 25 states across the country. The clothing they sell is typically "skater" brand name clothing. Along with clothing, they also sell watches, wallets, sunglasses, and accessories such as switchblade combs and incense sticks.

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is a manufacturer of stringed instruments and amplifiers, such as solid-body electric guitars, including the Stratocaster and the Telecaster. The company, previously named the Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company, was founded in Fullerton, California, by Clarence Leonidas "Leo" Fender in 1946 and relocated to Corona in the mid 1980s. Leo Fender also designed one of the first commercially successful solid-body electric bass, the Precision Bass (P-Bass), which has become known in rock, jazz, country, funk and other types of music.
